I’ve just read Garden fail and yep, pretty much got all the neglect and occasional ‘iffy’ decisions covered!
My biggest ‘crime’ is not paying enough attention to the soil Ph.
I manage to grow nice roses in limestone country but should make more effort to try and lower the alkalinity a bit. I should compost bracken, the stuff’s everywhere, I’ve read that’s a good ammendment.

Eek, I left that one out- I lost heathers and azaleas aplenty just because I thought I could fight the soil pH. Didn’t happen.
Bracken sounds lovely, it grows in the more Southern regions here. Nice roses are a great advantage :) and your pictures of your garden- they are to die for, so lovely.
