Getting My Groove or Where’s That Router When You Need It?

We’ve been on vacation in more ways than one- it sure is hard to get back in the groove sometimes. We need vacations , but they tend to mess up the flow of plans and work. I suppose they’re meant to… so maybe we just take too long a stretch of work periods to take a sabbatical and it is that much harder to return? Whatever the reason, while we are slow at it, we are getting our groove back.

I’ve already thought of some new jobs to put on the project reminder board ( shhh, don’t tell Handyman yet, let it be a surprise!). And do comment on Handyman’s posts- he still has that new blogger thrill when seeing that someone actually is on the other side of the screen. I do too… but I blog a lot and get plenty of feedback – although I always appreciate more. that is one of the great things about blogging: hearing what other people think.

I know, I know… I promised pictures and even though I have a new camera I am just not on the photo-taking wavelength. That is one part of the blogging process I want to improve. I realize, for myself as well a for others, that pictures are an important part of visualizing projects and satisfying that voyeur in all of us.

Oh, hi there!

I was a garden blog pioneer, and began writing on this blog in 2003. Before that I had begun a garden website that has been at its own domain since 2006, Ilona's Garden.

I still love writing, gardening, and art after all these years, although travel and grandchildren have become a big part of my life, now.
