I have missed so much while my computer has been on the fritz! Stuart of Gardening Tips ‘n Ideas so kindly linked to my pruning post. He called me a star, which sort of shocked me…even though it was just star of this journal -LOL! I think of myself as more of an old workhorse than a star, though…. just force of habit, I guess. but I like the sound of it..me, a star. Gulp, I better get over it, because it is just too outlandish a thought for a gritty Midwesterner like me. I did so appreciate the mention, though. You work hard to put together information for posts and try to produce something of value, so as not to waste people’s time, so any mention is welcome encouragement. :)
He has lots of great posts there, and I liked surfing over to the Garden Helper article on weeds. It reminded me of Mr. Brownthumb. Remember how he was investigating the weeds on a nearby lot? Today he mentions his indoor plants, ‘string of pearls’ and ‘string of bananas’ succulents. Last year I looked hard for the string of pearls and bought a fine plant. I promptly left it outside a little too late in the season- it froze. I am so disappointed in myself. I’ll try again this year- last year was just full of missteps like that.
