I loved Coneflowers depiction of how her garden is progressing. She is making raised beds, and has pictures of her pretty tomato seedlings- all looking fine and thrifty.
“The recommended perfect soil is 1/3 blended compost, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 peat moss” … mine would be filled differently just the garden loam with peatmoss and halfmade compost. I’m thinking of making some of those concrete beds out here, too. Maybe just two to begin with.
Her yard is visibly becoming her garden 🙂
HI: ILona
Coneflower looks like she is on her way to a grand garden no yard just a garden.
Any Grass left in your garden or is the yard all garden??
John
I use the same blend – 1/3 blended compost, 1/3 vermiculite, and 1/3 peat moss – I use composted leaves.
Hi John -LOL! I still have loads and loads of grass space. When I gardened in the city I only had a small patch left, and all else was garden, but here, on four acres… lots of grass, AND mowing. How about your gardening? Started back in the north yet?
TC maybe I will need to try that mix, then, in the raised beds.
