Everyone wanted to see this one, and it was very crowded… we had to actually queue up to walk through it. The garden was packed with a little Zen garden with ripples carved in sand, pines, Japanese maples,a water feature and koi fish. Moon gates are very pleasing to the eye, and this one was no exception. I could imagine it being a very serene place of meditation if it was in a private garden.
About Ilona Erwin
I was a garden blog pioneer, and began writing on this blog in 2003. Before that I had begun a garden website that has been at its own domain since 2006, Ilona's Garden.
I still love writing, gardening, and art after all these years, although travel and grandchildren have become a big part of my life, now.

The line through it was going so fast I think all I got was a picture of the waterfalls 🙂 I do remember it being lovely if you liked the zen gardening. The gate was a great feat to build just for the show. A lot of work went into everything.

Being the old biddy I turned into I just took my time, sort of moved over to the side and took pictures. Everyone was extremely thoughtful of this, and waited for the shot or moved by as they could. For all the crowds I thought the people were very polite. The only regret is that I am not a better photographer.
The features were crowded in a little too much to be truly Zen though;)
I would love a Zen garden…in the house or outside!
