I went from summer to fall in 24 hours

07.10.09 | Ilona Erwin | 4 Comments

I am back from visiting summertime, which I desperately needed since we “snowbirds”, as the locals like to call us, hardly had one this year. Not that heat and humidity are my favorite things in the world…but when a beach and an ocean are nearby that’s just all right by me (got the old song in your head?)

Georgia was about as chilly and wet as here…though not quite as cold, so it doesn’t count for a summer re-visitation, but Destin was sunny and warm. A few humid days were perfectly fine, the rest were just plain perfect. Of course, I have pictures 🙂
A selection of views here, but I photographed a really charming garden in the area of Seaside that I want to highlight in it’s own post… coming up 🙂

HI Ilona: Just stopping by for a visit. I tried leaving a comment on your previous post don’t know if it went in or not. Things seem to go haywire when I published it.

Good information about the frost times, thanks for the links. Glad you enjoyed you vacation, didn’t know you where on one.

    Have a great afternoon,
    John

Thanks, John 🙂 Yes, we decided to go late this year… it was a nice time to be in Florida- my first trip there!

I seem to remember you had pictures of alligators, somehow I didn’t see any.
