In Lieu of a Real Post

I have some things I am just bursting to write a real blog post on-but must control the computer time. So just a quick updating on my wonderful and interesting life:0

-that was for laughs, in case you missed it-

Yes. Well! It is time to take down the tree in earnest and I have been waxing all sentimental about it, perhaps to blog one last holiday posting….. the garden is wet and the weather is deceivingly springlike. Worrisome weather! I saw the magnolia buds swelling and some bulb foliage pushing up…. which means we better get some actual winter in place or there will be foolish frozen would-be blooms. Although I am not truly worried yet. Freakish weather just puts me out of sorts.

Plus I have cooped myself inside for -yikees, I think since before Christmas. No. I drove my Mom home, but that hardly counts. My face feels gray. Do you have that feeling after being inside in the house too long in the winter? I feel like my whole being is turning gray. ( Of course that has happened to my hair in actuality for awhile now). But only my hairdresser and those who see the now evident roots know that for sure. Just a small joke. I am full of those. I am hoping they add up to big real jokes if I have enough of them.

I_know. That is one case where the sum is not greater than the parts but rather less. I know already. Let’s smile and pretend I am not petulant and nasty today….just for something different:)

This ‘ill have to do until I write my real posts that sound as if maybe I know something and have something useful to say.

Oh, hi there!

I was a garden blog pioneer, and began writing on this blog in 2003. Before that I had begun a garden website that has been at its own domain since 2006, Ilona's Garden.

I still love writing, gardening, and art after all these years, although travel and grandchildren have become a big part of my life, now.

10 Cool Season Annual Flowers To Plant

Shirley poppies and Bachelor Buttons Not every garden writer alerts you to the fact that annuals can have seasons that are shorter than other choices.
