During my visit there was an exhibition of bug sculptures throughout the grounds, Here are a number of them… they were impressive in person.
The first creature to greet you was this huge Praying Mantis.
The assassin bug was hiding among some evergreen plantings, laying in wait no doubt.
The spider and her web had many people in awe -they congregated about; but I stood with them to take this angle.
The humble bumble bee was not quite clothed with the intended colorings of his stripes. He was located in the herb garden.
Be sure to see Gardens in Ohio.
some of those would be kind of scary to encounter in the dark,
The bug sculptures are beautifully realized, Ilona – the wood looks perfect for a garden. I went to the park website and noted that no pets were allowed in the vicinity of these scuptures …guess these shapes would tempt a dog to put his mark on the big bugs ;-]
