Plan to stroll in the garden on Sunday

The Quiet Country House has a lovely idea for blogging Sunday Strolls in the garden.

It is on Sundays that I often visit public gardens, so I think it is the perfect opportunity to write about it. I regularly take a tour around my garden and property, but I don’t know if it is always on a Sunday… I think too much of the unfinished jobs I need to do and start making mental lists.

Sometimes I think the best way for me to enjoy my garden is just to sit in a spot, or recline in a lawn chair and gaze upwards through the trees or off into the wide blue expanse- preferably studded with puffy white clouds.

The idea of a concerted stroll with only the purpose of observing and recounting the beauties and oddities of the garden seems like a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
