for the gift of a long and adventurous life
and the wisdom learned with each mistake.
for the gift of my son, as he onward makes
his way, finds love, and his future wife.
for the gift of health, despite aches and pains.
the body’s wear and tear effects
are worse from years of some neglect.
yet i’ve made it through, with much to gain.
for happiness in these later years
for joy and laughter, and the tears.
for hearth and home, for sun and rain.
for gardens made, and those to come.
for companionship, good friends and love
for all these blessings from above….
for a life well-lived and the harvest home.
best thanksgiving blessings to all…

Good Morning Joanne: Like your poem. Wondering if I could borrow it to use in a post tonight.
Have a great thanksgiving,
John
Love this Joanne! It expresses my feeling exactly… and with grace.
Others were touched by this poem- I saw it retweeted several times.
J. you have a gift to pluck the heartstrings. I’m thankful for a friend who creates and shares herself.
