I am trying to resume my normal life after the wedding. I want to work on my blogs, increase my photo taking, and all that jazz. We visited the Franklin Park Conservatory (where the wedding was held) before the big day. I quickly got a few pics. Orchids, which turned out well, and some of the Palm House, which didn’t turn out well for posting. They were for figuring out what I was to work with in decorating.
The wedding was beautiful, and I have only some retrospect regrets. I am not an ‘up-front’ person, I am rather a background, make-everything-work person. Which helps things like a wedding come off well, but means I missed being in pictures- the Conservatory co-ordinator, Andrea, had me and my husband doing tear-down during the picture taking time. We missed being in all the photos. I blame myself- I just unthinkingly responded to the pressure when I should have left it or delegated. This is not a live and learn situation since the wedding will not be repeated. My husband is just as bad- so we are a pair of background clean-up crew guys. He in his tux, and me in my formal length dress. It just goes to show how far habit will take you. Your brain goes on auto-pilot, especially if you are as dog-tired as we were.
But we were very happy at how everything turned out and how happy our daughter was with her day.
That is the important thing to us, anyway.
We just didn’t get our Kodak moment of being happy:)

I’m trying to learn how to post here with flickr. So far not doing it right. >:P
I did, however, manage to do the easy little thing of random pics showing up in the sidebar. I just need to get more of the newer ones loaded. Too bad I used up so much of this months upload bandwidth. The pics were terribly large files ( although flickr automatically makes them smaller for web viewing). I don’t know why I didn’t resize them before uploading. Too excited to finally have more pics, I guess.
Be sure to see Gardens in Ohio and A Botanical Wedding.
